The Shocking Truth About Success
We often think that if things aren’t going well for us, to have things change, we have to “do” something different. There’s a saying that goes, “if you want what you’ve never had, then you need to do what you’ve never done”. But the thing is, you can’t create lasting change through action alone.
There’s always one thing that happens before action is taken, and that is “thought”. Whether you are conscious of it or not, you have an idea that leads to you getting up and doing something.
The problem is, without a foundational shift within you, the actions you take will most likely lead to recreating very similar circumstances again.
Let me give an example, lets say that each month you keep aiming to save money but invariably you find that something crops up with you car or your home and you have to spend the saved amount. It seems like there’s no choice but to take the action of getting a second job in order to begin saving.
What we don’t realize is that this action is based on either doubt, fear or worry! When we take actions from this place of powerlessness, the results can never be what you want because your focus is on avoiding what you don’t want!
Let me say this another way, when you take actions in the “hope” that something will turn out well, because you fear or worry that it won’t, then your underlying feelings are shining a light on the things you not wanting. And life has a way of giving us whatever is our dominant focus rather than what we may say we want!
You may notice how people will say, “I just knew things weren’t going work out”, how can they know it? It was their dominant intent.
The thing is, how we feel about something is what we send out in a vibrational sense. To understand this, think about sharks, they sense vibrations in the water and their instinct is to attack and eat something that vibrates fear. It’s for this reason that people that are completely comfortable with sharks can be in the water with them, the shark senses that they are at ease and therefore not something that triggers the attack instinct within them.
You’ve probably heard about the Law of Attraction, this law states that like vibrations are always attracted to each other. So if you focus on something you desire and “feel” anxious or overwhelmed, then don’t take action yet, your dominant vibration will be the anxiousness and overwhelm!
The time to take action is when it feels like a natural, logical step to take, without forces or struggling. Strain, pain and effort don’t come into the equation when you are aligned from within. Success is guaranteed when you are aligned because you realize that the joy of being aligned is the real success, the outcome of it just a nice bonus!
Remember, you can outwardly pretend be a positive person but unless you make small changes so that you feel better within yourself in the moment, the success you desire is likely to stay at bay.

Movie Stars Syndrome – Pt 3
To sum it up, a “star” or TV personality is no different to any other human on the planet. All of us have bodily functions, eat, abide by the laws of gravity and will leave the body we inhabit one day.
To pretend that the person you are seeing on TV or the movie screen is any more special than you is to deny your true nature. You, are so amazing that you can choose to create the illusion of bondage in a massively abundant universe.
Ultimately it’s your journey to realise your Truth and what I think of you really doesn’t matter.
I trust that you will see how worthy and deserving you are of love, well-being, wealth and abundance and that you already have everything within you.
Much Love,

Thriving in “Recession”- Pt 4
The answer is that it takes you to “I don’t know”. It’s not very comfortable at first to say that because we all like to think that we have all the answers and know where we’re going, but in truth, very few of us truly know anything at all. And that’s ok.
Having arrived at “I don’t know”, we are then free/open to the possibility of having a solution present itself. You may begin to have thoughts of exciting new possibilities that inspire you to try new things, take steps that you hadn’t previously considered, but it all start with allowing yourself to be “open to the possibility” of goodness to come to you. After all, all the abundance is still there, it’s just that a majority of people began to focus on the lack, instead of the abundance.
The bottom line is that you have a choice even though on the surface it seems that you don’t. The choice comes with being open to the possibilities that goodness CAN come to you regardless of what anyone else is going through. It all depends on what story you choose to tell yourself, and you do have the choice of telling yourself a story that feels great to you, if you just bring some awareness.
Tomorrow I’ll give you a summary of what’s been discussed here…

How to Thrive during Recession
When you hear everyone talking about recession, it tends to bring up feeling of negativity and one that generally doesn’t feel very good. So lets see if we can find a way neutralise it.
To start things off lets look at the word “recession”. Economists have their definition, which really doesn’t mean much to most people but in reality, recession is a receding, a contraction or a becoming smaller in some way. It means there is the impression that less exists where before there was more.
If you think about in terms of the sea, the tide constantly moves, when the tide goes out, it gives the impression that the sea has receded. In reality though, the water has simply flowed elsewhere, there’s still an abundance of water that’s always there.
Knowing that a recession then, is simply an “appearance” of something becoming less, we can then focus on what is REAL.
What exactly is REAL?
REAL, comes from the Spanish word meaning Royal (of the King) and if you think of a kingdom, what is “of the king”? Everything, and everyone, abides by the King. In this sense, your true Self is the king and the universe is Self’s kingdom.
So focusing on what’s real, means to focus on all possibilities existing at the same time and that you can choose to see whatever you want (and this requires you to be aware of the thoughts that you are taking as real).
With the awareness that all possibilities exist at the same time, you can choose to see that abundance is the order of the day and it all starts with being open to the possibility that you can have this reality.
So lets look at the practicalities of this, you say that you’re in debts and don’t have the money to pay for them, the appearance is that there’s not enough money to cover all the bills. Is that REAL? You may say, “Yes, it’s a fact that my bank account is bare”, but can you categorically, 100%, know that the money to cover the bills won’t show up? My guess is that you don’t know that absolutely, it’s simply a belief based on what you see in front of you. And a belief is just something you keep telling yourself that you have accepted as true.
So if you don’t know with absolute certainty that the money to cover your bills won’t show up, Where does that take you?
It takes you to “I don’t know”. It’s not very comfortable at first to say that because we all like to think that we have all the answers and we like to think that we know where we’re going, but in truth, very few of us truly know anything. And that’s ok.
Having arrived at “I don’t know”, we are then free/open to the possibility of having a solution present itself. In summary,
- You have the appearance of something, that doesn’t feel good to you
- You ask yourself, is this appearance the truth?
- Do you know that with absolute 100% certainty? (In other words, is it possible that an alternative scenario exists?)
- Chances are that you don’t know with certainty and an alternative scenario is always possible, so you come back and sit with, “I don’t know”.
- Out of the “I don’t know” comes the opening for possibilities that goodness can come to you.
- You begin to enjoy thoughts of exciting new possible futures and feel better about your prospects
- You take action through inspiration (as opposed to desperation) and life starts to feel good.
- New opportunities and fortuitous meetings begin to show up and you get back on track.
- Life’s good, it always is.

Authenticity
The Invitation
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon…
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Eckhart Tolle – “Don’t Seek The Truth…”
Eckhart Tolle wrote – “Don’t seek the truth, just cease to cherish opinions”.
The above is a quote from Eckhart’s book “A New Earth”, and I thought it’d be good to discuss what this quote means (from my understanding).
Firstly, “Don’t seek the truth”, why would we be encouraged to not seek the truth?
On the surface it doesn’t make sense, after-all we all have this sense of what’s true and false (what’s right and wrong), but the issue is that the truth for one person may not be the same truth for another. When we perceive certain circumstances that combine to match the reality we have come to know as real, we call them – True.
The issue is that when we get caught in taking a stand for Truth, by default we make someone else wrong. Religions tend to be full of this type of thinking, where one person’s religion is the real thing while others believe in false prophets, you’re right and others are wrong!
In reality, your belief is true for you and my belief is true for me, but the mind has difficulty in dealing with everyone being right. It needs to create a separation to strengthen itself as an identity and it does this through making others wrong in some way.
So this becomes the main issue as to not seek the truth, it’s generally the mind looking for something to hang its hat on so that as an identity, you can say, I’m right (and they’re wrong!). There’s no freedom in that and in fact this is what war is based on.
The second part, “just cease to cherish opinions”. To understand this, lets look at what an opinion is. An opinion is simply a thought that from the persons’ perspective and/or experience is true or the “right” course of action to take.
By not cherishing the opinion, you put a gap there where you see it as a possibility that may or may not be true but it really doesn’t matter, you can simply allow it to be there without hanging your hat on it.
The implication of all of this can be summarised as follows:
You don’t care about seeking this thing called “The Truth” and the opinions you hear (both yours and others), don’t really matter, this leaves you with no “thing” (nothing) to hold on to as “you”. Therefore the mind can’t run the show and your authentic essence then has as opportunity to shine through.
I found an excerpt from one of the Abraham-Hicks workshops that also gets what we’re talking about:
“Forever, physical humans are saying, “give me the truth, give me the truth.” And we say, there are all kinds of truths. Choose the truths that serve you. Now, there are a lot of people that would feel great discomfort with that. But the thing that we want you to hear about it is: there is a truth of cancer, and there is a truth of wellness. Which truth serves you? You can activate either of them within you, and make it your truth. Truths are created; they aren’t static. They aren’t conditions that exist that then it is your obligation to identify and catalog. You are the creator of your truths–and what you are living is your truth.”
