Follow Your Joy
I was noticing how when we want to achieve something, a goal of some sort, it starts with a thought and we then try to formulate how to get it (using the mind again). But a realisation that I had was that it’s not the minds purpose to work out “how” to get it.
Our thoughts create what we want in a non-physical sense, and then to receive it in the physical sense, requires letting go of “how” and “when” it will come, and simply trusting that it’s on its way to us in the best possible route.
This isn’t easy to do because we’re all so used to getting things through “action”, we often think that as long as we take action, everything will be sorted out. But often action alone just feels like struggle and pain, which actually stops us from receiving what we want!
I recall a time around 6 or 7 years ago where I’d started a home based business in the health and nutrition area. I was passionate about it and was taking lots of action, however there came a point where I realised that in order to make a living from this, it was going to require more effort, so I thought if I keep taking action, in time I would make a living from it. By this stage 18 months went by and I had the realisation that I could actually make a lot of money with this business, but I would die as a result of it! (Yes, I know, ironic for the health and nutrition industry)
You see, we can “force” ourselves to do things, but the price we pay energetically is very high and this takes a toll on the physical body. This is why it’s important to be vigilant/mindful that what we want is to flow with life and flowing with life actually feels really good.
So while we “think” that taking a certain action will lead us to where we want to go, it’s more important to be getting in touch with your feelings and if something doesn’t feel good, that’s your sign to change course.
If we can learn to be ok with the uncertainty of not knowing how it’s all going to turn out, we release the limitations we place on things and allow the life force to flow through us and do its thing beautifully.
I recall watching the winter Olympics one time and saw an interview with a guy that had just won the gold medal in the moguls event. He was asked whether he had seen himself winning and what he would do when he won. To my surprise he said no, he said he simply focused on the skiing and doing the best he could, even though he wanted to win, he hadn’t really thought about it.
This is the power of simply enjoying and flowing with what feels good!
So to sum it up, don’t do something just because of what you “think” it will get you, do it because there is true joy in doing it and if that means you need to change things (and possibly upset others), so be it.
Follow your joy, it’s important!

Our Self
Our Self, that lives within, Joy is our name, All is well and all is Allowed.
Enjoy-in this moment, present here and now, and as this moment is allowed, the life force that is our source flows all about.
If we find ourselves in circumstances that feel painful, know that we are always worthy and deserving of Love and can find Joy.
As it is within so it is throughout.
