Kids are the Future
When speaking with kids, be mindful of what you say to them, they are sponges and absorb everything. They often can’t articulate what they feel but they do take in everything, not necessarily what you say but what’s behind what you say., the tone in your voice, the look in your eyes, your body language, they absorb your vibes. This is why it’s extremely important that you be aware of what’s happening within you before you relate to kids.
It’s not easy to start with and of course there will be times that you get caught up in a situation and react instead of respond to the child. It’s important to realise that the journey is yours, of learning to be centred, calm and of course present.
To give you an example of how important what we say is, I saw an interview on the Oprah show where Chris Gardner (the guy that the film “The Pursuit of Happiness” was based on) was interviewed and he said that he’d been mistreated by his father but his mother was always encouraging and one day he was watching something on TV and saying out aloud “one million dollars, one million dollars!” His mother, sensing that the tone of his voice was saying he thought a million dollars was out of reach for him, said to him, “you know, you could have that if you wanted”, and Chris said that those few words by his mother planted a seed within him that had him begin to believe that maybe it was possible for him to achieve and in fact it was enough to give him a strong belief in himself to go out there and become a multi millionaire.
Be kind with yourself (you’re worth it) and you’ll find it a lot easier to not only encourage kids to be the best they can be but you’ll be able to have kind words for everyone.

What is a Perfect Life?
Another interesting video from Abraham-Hicks:
(It seems You Tube have taken the video off for now, I’ll leave this up just in case they re-instate it, my apologies for any inconvenience.)
Believing is Seeing
Often people will say “seeing is believing”, and certainly it helps you believe that something is possible when you see the evidence first through someone else achieving something that you doubted.
A good example of this was the 4-minute mile. Prior to Roger Bannister, it was believed that it was not humanly possible to run a mile in less than 4 minutes. Roger proved it could be done in 1954 and within about a month someone else had beaten Roger’s record. When someone opens the door, it allows others to walk through it also. In this way, Roger’s believing it was possible, opened the door to the evidence that it could be done.
If you look in history, there’s evidence of this sort of thing all over the place from people believing the Earth was flat until Columbus proved that it wasn’t to no one believing that it was possible for a machine to fly.
The question is, what else is possible that we don’t believe is possible yet?
All it takes one person having the thought/vision and then belief that something more than the current reality is possible to then begin creating it. Guys like Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D Rockefeller, Dale Carnegie, Nelson Mandela, Donald Trump, Bill Gates and Richard Branson are all examples of what is possible when you believe before seeing.
While these people are all well known identities for large scale projects, each one of us also has the same power as well, on any scale we choose. For me, a powerful example was when I was 19. I’d had warts on my fingers during my adolescent years and had tried all sorts of remedies but nothing seemed to work. During a holiday to Italy, at 19, I met an uncle that was a well regarded medical doctor. I showed him the warts and he said, “Ah yes, that’s right, these are just a remnant from childhood, they will be gone by the time you turn 21”. This felt good to me and I didn’t question him, I simply believed that what he was saying was true and let it go.
Then one day after my 21st birthday I noticed that the warts had in fact completely gone, with absolutely no sign that they’d ever been there, I was blown away.
In time I realised that it was my belief that this would in fact happen, without doubt, that created the healing. My belief in my uncle was the catalyst however, and this is why certain people in the community (or family) have a very powerful influence to affect change within others (for better or worse).
This realisation opened a door to another realisation and that was that when we buy products or services, to take care of an issue, it’s not the item we purchase that takes care of the issue but the degree of our belief that creates the outcome.
For example if you want to lose weight and you buy a program that shows you how to do it, if people that you trust have lost weight with this program, then you’re likely to have a strong belief that you will succeed also and so you “allow” the program to work for you. It’s not the program as such, it’s you through your belief. This is why two people can do identical things, but one person will get different results to the other, their beliefs are different, so the outcome is different.
The question now is, how do you believe in better circumstances when the influences in your life from childhood have not necessarily been supportive or nurturing?
It’s certainly a challenge to change old, well established patterns that have a whole heap of inbuilt mechanisms within you that put the brakes on having what you desire, but it is possible. It all begins by believing that it is possible for things to be better for you and that with a little conscious work, you can be, do or have anything your heart desires.
I recently came across a guy named Alan Tutt from Power Keys Publishing and he’s created an audio program and book called “Choose to Believe”. I recommend that you check these out, as they are a great way to help you begin to change your old limiting beliefs.
